Active Noise Cancellation: AirPods Max deliver immersive sound with Active Noise Cancellation, so users can focus on what they're listening to. Each earcup has three outward-facing microphones to detect ambient noise, and a microphone inside the earcup to detect sound reaching the listener's ear. By calculating the audio, the noise cancellation function continuously adapts to the wearing and movement of the headphones in real time.

Transparency mode: Users can switch AirPods Max to transparency mode to hear their surroundings while listening to music, ensuring that other sounds, including their own voices, sound natural while audio is playing. With a single tap of the noise control button, you can switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes.
