AirPods Pro's noise cancellation feature works continuously at a rate of 200 times per second, enabling real-time noise cancellation. When Transparency mode is turned on, AirPods Pro's ventilation system continues to maintain pressure in the ear, but its outward-facing microphone begins to pick up ambient sounds and transmits them to the ear with ultra-low latency. At the same time, the part of Active Noise Cancellation that is responsible for cancelling internal sound waves continues to work to ensure that the sound is natural enough for the user to hear without a dull feeling
